Calling all buccaneers! A pirate costume contest will be held Wednesday, July 15, as part of the Pirates Ahoy event sponsored by the Children's Literature Centre at Frostburg State University and Frostburg First. All costume participants should report to City Place in Frostburg from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. to have their photos taken for the contest. A panel of local judges will review the costume photos and select a first- and second-prize winner in three age groups: 0-2 years, 3-6 years and 6 years and over. Each prize winner will receive a gift certificate to Main Street Books in Frostburg.
