FSU Student Corbett to Perform Senior Vocal Recital PDF Print E-mail

logo_new2.240x240Frostburg State University senior Wesley Corbett will perform his senior tenor recital on Saturday, March 27, at 8 PM in the Performing Arts Center’s Pealer Recital Hall.  Corbett will be accompanied by pianist Nancy Witmer.  This event is free and open to the public.

Corbett will perform several pieces written by composers Stefano Donaudy, Ludvig van Beethoven, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and John P. Sacco.

A music education major at FSU, Corbett hopes to become an elementary school music teacher on graduation.  He is a member of the President’s Leadership Circle, Delta Omicron, and Music Educators National Conference and is on the Dean’s List.  Corbett expects to complete his degree in May 2010.  He is the son of Mike and Cindy Corbett of Hollywood, Md.

Corbett will perform in thanks to the late Betty Jane Phillips, who taught him how to say thank you.  Phillips, who passed away in February, was his accompanist on many occasions.
