The Saville Gallery invites all members of the Allegany Arts Council to submit their artwork to the jury for the 8th Annual Members' Exhibition which will run from Friday, November 27, 2009 through January 2, 2010.  Each member artist may submit up to two entries for a non-refundable fee of $5 per entry.  The jurors for this year's exhibition are Catherine Moreland, executive director of the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, and Dave Moreland, artist and professor of Art and Art History at Frederick Community College.

This year's exhibition will feature a total of $1,200 in artist awards, sponsored by the Allegany Area Art Alliance, Sandi Saville, Betsey Hurwitz-Schwab & Doug Schwab, Maureen Connelly & Anthony LoGiudice, Susan & John Davis, Karen & Jack Zealand, Act Personnel Service, and Lisa Schad.

The Saville Gallery requests that all artwork be for sale and a 40% commission will be taken on any artwork sold during the exhibition.  All submissions must be original works of art that have been executed within the past two years and have not been previously displayed in the Saville Gallery.

All artwork to be juried for this year's Members' Exhibition should be delivered to the Saville Gallery, (9 North Centre Street, Downtown Cumberland) on Saturday, November 21 between 10 AM and 5 PM.  Application Forms are available at the Saville Gallery and may also be downloaded from www.alleganyartscouncil.org.  For more information call 301-777-ARTS (2787).
