Our Town Theatre will be presenting Summer Monologues in July at the Historical Society gazebo in downtown Oakland. Each Saturday, starting on July 8, at noon, a different actor or actors will present monologues from Ghost Walk productions by Jane Avery and various other authors. Actors include Brittney Hostutler, Sue Lisantti, Liam Elmlinger, Charlie Wroten, Savannah Hamilton, and Cory Stieringer. Come celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday evening with a free concert at Canal Place as part of Cumberland Comes Alive concert series presented by Burgmeier’s Hauling.

CUMBERLAND, MD - The celebrated career of Broadway impresario George M. Cohan who, along with his parents and sister created a lifetime of Great White Way blockbuster hits for over four decades in New York's Manhattan, will be presented as "The Four Cohans" for four shows July 6-9 at Embassy Theatre in Downtown Cumberland.
Admission for the show is $10 per person, with a discount admission of $8 for family parties of four of more.

 The Cumberland Comes Alive concert series welcomes Hot Sauce Willie to Bands on the Bricks on Friday evening June 23. The band will be performing on the First Peoples Community Credit Union Historic City Center Stage at the corner of Liberty & Baltimore Streets at 6:30 pm. The performance is free of charge, but seating is limited, so don’t forget your folding lawn chair.
