CUMBERLAND, MD - Embassy Theatre, located at 49 Baltimore Street on the Downtown Cumberland Mall, will host "Rave - A Slightly Warped Production - Return of the Living Dead" on Halloween night, Oct 31.

"The doors open at 8 pm," states DJ Victor Dion Friel," and we will feature 80s Dark Wave, Goth, Synth Pop & Techno, Dance Electronica, Post Punk Industrial, and even a few jokes and surprises, too."

Sounds for the evening will include New Order, Depeche Mode, Blutengle, Ministry and Sisters of Mercy and many more.

There is a $5 cover charge, and the Embassy's Passport Cafe in the lobby will be serving popcorn, hot dogs, candies, American and European beers and mixed drinks.

CUMBERLAND, MD - The Embassy Theatre and Stephanie Micheals will team up to host the 9th Annual Queen of Queen City Pageant 2017 on Saturday, Oct 8.

This annual drag show pageant began in 2007, and Saturday's show begins at 9 pm.  The 9th annual pageant will feature the reigning Queen of Queen City,  Miss Anastasia Beaverhausen, who will crown the winner at the end of the evening.

"The Lavender Dollies are happy to be back at the Embassy," states Ms. Micheals. "The evening promises lots of fun for everyone, and the PRIDE costumes will be just gorgeous!"

According to Ms. Micheals, applications to enter the drag pageant are available at the Embassy, and entry is limited to the first ten applicants.

Frostburg State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will once again present something for everyone during its 2016-17 season lineup – an adventure tale, a beloved children’s fantasy, a Christmas holiday ghost story, a Civil War drama, an 18th-century British comedy and two student dance concerts with original choreography.

The season kicks off with “Around the World in 80 Days,” the classic adventure tale by French writer Jules Verne. Grab your passports and climb aboard for a whirlwind trip around the world!
