FROSTBURG (March 1, 2010) -- The Commissioner of Finance, Richard Weimer, announced today that the second Citizen Budget Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 7 PM at the Frostburg Community Center.  The Agenda for the meeting will include a Review of the State Projection for Real Estate Tax Revenues, Comments and/or Questions from Citizens on Tax Rates, and Comments and/or Questions from Citizens on Materials from the First Meeting.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in this informal Budget Meeting.  The legally mandated presentation of the Draft Budget, Constant Yield Tax Rate Hearing, and Public Hearing on the Budget Ordinance will occur at the March, April, and May City Council Meetings as normal.  At each one of those meeting, citizens will have additional opportunities to comment or ask questions regarding the City’s budget.
